Creating a blacklist helps control event sign-ups by blocking specific email addresses or domains.
Use case example: If an event requires participants to use their company email address to register, a Backlist can be created to block common personal email domains.
To create a blacklist, follow these steps:
- In your company's Events Dashboard, click Company Blacklists in the left-side navigation
- Click the '+' button in the top right corner of the page to open the Add New Blacklist pop-up
- Use the BlackList Name field to name your blacklist - this field is requireda. Name Example: Personal Email Domains
- In the Email field, put the specific email address or email domain you want to prevent from registering - click the plus sign next to the field to add it to the lista. Repeat the step to add multiple email addresses and domains to the blacklist

- To save, click Save Blacklist
Repeat this process to create a second blacklist if needed. Each event allows a maximum of two blacklists.
Blacklist's need to be assigned to specific events.
To assign a blacklist to a specific event, follow these steps:
- Choose the event from the company dashboard
- In the left-side navigation, click the down arrow next to the Registration module to expand the menu options
- Click Settings
- Select the Security & Privacy tab

- Scroll down to the Blacklisted 1 section and choose the blacklist you want to apply to the event's registration form

By default, the selected blacklist applies to all registration types. To exclude a specific registration type, click the trash icon next to it.

6. Click Save to only save your changes on the backend
7. Click Deploy Live to deploy your changes to the live registration form
To assign a second blacklist, scroll to the Blacklisted 2 section and repeat steps 5-7
Customize the message that will appear when a participant attempts to register using a blacklisted email address or domain.
8. Scroll down to the Blacklisted 1 Message section

9. Type the message
Note: By default this Blacklist message applies to all registration types. Click the trash icon next to a registration type to exclude it.
10. Click Save to only save your changes on the backend
11. Click Deploy Live to make your changes live on the registration form
To assign a second blacklist message, scroll to the Blacklisted 2 Message section and repeat steps 10-11
