Event Registration: A2Z RegTech: Capped Options

Capped Options

Idea
A capped option is a pre-set limit (a cap) on how many times an option can be selected by participants on the registration site.

Notes
Use case: limiting how many times an activity can be selected, due to limited space at the venue

A cap can be set for any Option Group answer, either during its initial creation or later through editing. Once the cap is reached, the option is automatically hidden from view so that other participants can no longer select it. This can be changed in Settings.

To apply a cap to an already existing option group answer, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the event from the company dashboard
  2. In the left-side navigation, click the down arrow next to the Registration module to expand the menu options
  3. Click Options
  4. Click the pencil icon in the Edit column, next to the option group you want to edit

  5. Click the pencil icon in the Edit column, next to the option answer
  6. In the Capacity field, type the number you want to cap selections at

  7. Click Save to apply your changes
  8. Repeat steps 4-6 for any other option answers that need caps set
